about
When The Community Waffle House in Axminster learnt of the plight of the children at The Gideon's Orphanage in Ramba, Kenya, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they decided there must be something they could do to help.
Here is a track that involves staff, families, friends, volunteers and associates of Waffle (formerly Waffle Aid), spanning several weeks of planning, rehearsing, recording, producing, mixing and sending Whatsapps across the globe to feature the beautiful voices of the orphanage's children themselves.
The aim is to provide a Christmas meal for all 800 children and a food pack for the subsequent 2 weeks, costing in excess of £10,000, through donations and sales of the single. So, please, if you like what you hear, put your money where your ear is and be a part of this campaign to bring Christmas to the children this year.

lyrics
It's Christmas time
There's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time
They're calling out so we're sending aid
And in our world of plenty
Can we spare a thought or two
For those without our life this Christmas time
But say a prayer
And pray for the little ones
Its hardly fair
That some can't crawl when we can run
In a world outside our window
There are tears of loss and pain
Hands outstretched with nothing back
Time and time again
Are there Christmas bells that ring there?
Can we lift them from their gloom?
Well tonight we're reaching out and touching you
So let's awaken love for Africa this Christmas time
A song of hope where there's no hope tonight (ooh)
They might never know
How their smiles set us aglow
Can they know it's Christmas time at all?
Here we are
With this chance to show them love
Wrap your gift
Make it more than they're dreaming of
Let them know it's Christmas time for all
Feed the world
Heal the world
Feed the world, let them know it's Christmas time for all
Heal the world, let them know it's Christmas time for all
